Baby lead weaning

My little boy is 15 months old and is completely capable of eating everything. He has been able to eat anything for awhile now. This is my story of how we got him onto solids.

We done Baby Lead Weaning. We didn't plan to do Baby Lead Weaning at first. I did read about it and loved the idea but I was just going to go with the traditional purees etc because thats all I really new with my little sisters and nieces and nephews.

When he was about 5 month old he was showing a lot of interest in food so we started introducing solids into I did mash up some sweet potato and avocado 3 or so times. But I just started to give him slices of avocado and banana and he loved it. He loved getting messy. As the month when on I started to give him other things such as pear, peach, broccoli and carrots. I think the best tip for Baby Lead Weaning is to no expect them to be eating the food straight away. At that age they don't need food, it's more about the new textures and taste. The main benefit is that its teaching babies to chew their food before they learn to swallow it. With purees, it's teaching them to swallow food, then later on down the line they have to learn to chew.

Just by slowing introducing new foods, Axl was eating steak by 7 months old. Baby Lead Weaning was great. We were able to eat all at the same time. Axl really enjoys food.
BANANA at about 5 months
Broccoli about 5 or 6 months
Peach about 7 months

Spaghetti about 7 months
Tacos at about 7 months
